Since its opening in 2012, more than 200 doctors, nurses and other helpers have been volunteering at the Faithful Servants Care Center in Tallmadge – delivering free care to uninsured people with non-life threatening conditions. Patients must have no insurance coverage and be at or below 200% of poverty level. Status must be verified.
The program has been so successful that the Summit County Medical Society, a nonprofit organization of more than 400 local physicians, recently honored Tallmadge Drs. Sue and Mark Meyer as co-founders of the faith-based center.
Services include urgent medical care for minor illnesses and injuries. Exclusions include obstetrical, mental health, and life threatening conditions.
The center is located at 65 Community Road, Suite F, Tallmadge, Ohio 44278 across Community road from Tallmadge Community Center and Tallmadge library.
Hours are 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., 7 days a week, except on major holidays.
